SERVING OUR CHURCH
Worship Participation
Our church family offers to be liturgical readers in our 10 am worship to lead the call to worship and prayer of invocation. All ages are welcome to sign up.
Musicians
Our chancel choir, orchestra, and change of pace contemporary worship band are always looking for musically inclined volunteers who wish to share their gifts with their faith family. You may contact our music staff if you are interested in playing or singing!
Hospitality
The work of preparing and serving coffee and cookies for our Friendship Time is completed by our Board of Deacons. They also provide vital support in our worship services and in special worship services throughout the year.
Teaching
Our Director of Children’s Ministry works with volunteers who serve as our Sunday School teachers for our church school program. Teachers are screened and receive background checks prior to their placement in a classroom.
Office
Our administrative assistant utilizes the cheerful help of volunteers to assist in organization large mailings, answering the phone, and printing weekly publications. You may offer your support in the office and we would be so grateful!
ANNUAL EVENTS
Kick-Off Sunday
This launches the programming year including the return of our 9 am change of pace worship, a full church school during the 10 am worship hour, our contemporary issues presentations, and our regular small group meetings. Each year this takes place on the Sunday after Labor Day weekend. Starting at 11 am our church community shares in food, fellowship, and a bounce house for the kids!
Christmas Party
As we anticipate the birth of Christ our church school families participate in a party that involves lunch, Advent crafts, and Gingerbread houses. The party takes place after our 10 am worship in our Pilgrim Hall fellowship area.
Advent Women’s Event
Women at FCC enjoy a meal in the days leading up to our busy Christmas season to take a moment to grow our own friendships in the midst of a time when we are often so busy taking care of so many details. The evening event features a delicious meal and vocal musical entertainment.
Easter Workshop
Our church school families enjoy this workshop as a time to share in a meal, crafts, and learn about the Easter story. This workshop takes place in our Pilgrim Hall Fellowship area.
Golf Outing
Our annual golf outing takes place in the Fall and invites golfers of all levels to play together in a best ball format.
Church Picnic
The church picnic takes place the weekend prior to memorial day weekend, usually following our youth Sunday service. Members bring a potluck item to share and the church provides hot dogs, drinks, and a bounce house for the kids. It’s a great opportunity to connect with one another!
