Junior high students are going through a whirlwind of change; physically, hormonally, friends, school, the whole ordeal. At FCC, we hope to meet our youth in the intersection of their changing lives. We offer Sunday School every week during our 10 am service that engages students to think critically about their faith, ask questions, and learn the history of our sacred texts and the contexts in which they were written. Monthly, the middle school students gather for a curriculum called Our Whole Lives (OWL). OWL is designed to give students a faith and ethics base for handling all the changes in their life, especially in regards to their bodies, their identities, and their relationships. We are a fully inclusive faith community and our youth groups are a safe space for students to grapple with who they are as we affirm and remind them that they are a beloved child of God.
