Welcome
The First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor is a community of Christian inclusiveness, a safe and secure place to investigate faith. You may sense the diversity and individual freedom here. We share, with one another, a commitment to Christ and community and try to have fun together at the same time.
Our congregation has been rooted in central Ann Arbor for more than a century and a half. We’ve been in the same beautiful church building since 1876. The church’s traditions go back even further, to the Pilgrims and their spiritual ancestors from England.
At the First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor, we gather as a community to worship, grow, and serve together. As a congregation, we experience uplifting worship services, nurturing fellowship, inspiring outreach opportunities, stimulating educational programs, welcoming social events, and a rich tradition of great music led by some of Ann Arbor’s best musicians. We are about love and care and respect, not dogma—understanding that we are still seekers, not holders, of truth. As one person said, “We may sometimes step on each other’s toes, but it’s usually because we are still learning how to dance the dance God has placed before us.”
If you have any questions, or if I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to call or see me at church.
We feel honored by your presence with us.
Blessings,
Robert K. LivingstonSenior Minister
